South Yorkshire's Apex Challenge team will be stepping up their training for the ever-growing team of volunteers, thanks to a generous grant from the Co-operative.
The substantial donation from the Co-operative Membership Community Fund will be used to pay for a range of training courses which will increase the skills of the Apex Challenge team, to further enhance the events.
Scout Active Support Unit manager Matt Richards says "This money will enable us to send members of our team on a wide range of courses, which will give us even greater capacity to improve the Apex Challenge events.
"From qualifications in catering, to courses in electrical safety and watersports management, this will equip our team with even greater skills for the future."
